Because Lauren requested:

Christmas festivities are over, on with the New Year. We had a fun Christmas, it was different this year- being married. We got alot of ‘together’ gifts. We got (or rather I got) a Martha Stewart Housekeeping book- that thing is ginormous! But its very interesting. We both got alot of clothes which is wonderful. We got a new computer desk from my parents because we now ned a place to put our printer instead of on the floor beside the computer cart. We received some money from his grandparents and parents- can we say savings! Tuesday we had our friends Darin and Jaime over for dinner (it just happened that way). I made lasagna with my mom’s supervision so i didn’t screw anything up. I do need a bigger pan though! Last night I got the stomach bug and man did that suck! I dont know if its because I got a reflexology treatment done yesterday that released everything and it just showed up. I was drinking tons of water to flush out those toxins. Last night- despite beginning to get sick- Joe’s parents took us out to dinner at a nice old resort area outside of Lancaster county and near Reading- it was neat. I had Chicken Alfredo but couldnt eat it all. Friday and Saturday we intend to catch up with some friends that are in town for the Holidays. That will be a lot of fun. Saturday we are going with another friend of Joe’s that was in the wedding, Kevin, to Shady Maple Smorgesboard with Joe’s annual gift card. The two of them use to go and now I am invited since he took me last yr when Kevin wasn’t in town. Lucky me lol!

Speaking of savings earlier- we are considering buying a house, since there is alot of equity in home owning, rent sucks you of money that could be used for monthly payments and Joe has stocks that we can use for a downpayment. So if you think about it pray for us as we decide what is best.

Well I guess I going to get ready and try to make it in to work despite the fact that I still feel weak. Wish me luck!

I loved the gifts, they kinda made me blush!  I also loved your Christmas card, thanks for sending us one.  As soon as I put away all my christmas cards, I will be putting it on my refrigerator!  Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Exciting news about possibly buying a house, but we haven’t even seen your apartment yet.  Guess you’ll have to invite us over soon!

Hey there! I’m so glad you stopped by my blog!

I’m a wife to a realtor and a momma to 2 energetic boys, living in a bi-level home (some people call it a split level) and fixing it up to suit us. I love a good DIY and being creative. I am passionate about history and  visiting historical places like it’s my job- particularly Colonial time period. I love finding antiques/vintage and rustic items to add to my home decor, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fantasizing about trips to Scotland. Read more

On this blog I share a lot of those things and more, so comment, share, subscribe and come along for the ride!
