This evening was fabulous! well Friday evening I mean. I got off work early. Our softball team one the third game this week. Went over to see my Pastor and Paula’s new hot tub….and got splashed with water and so did my cell . When I was on the phone with William it sounded all watery and crackly. Luckily it dried! good as new.

It ended up being Sarah and I at Darin’s. But it was so nice talking to him and building a fire. We ran over to Giant and got some marshmallows, crackers and Hershey bars for the smores. Great conversation was had and i went away happy .

Sarah didnt want to go home right away so we decided we would get as close as we could to the Tornado scene. It was an F3 on a scale of F1-F5 and it was 7.5 miles long/.25 miles wide OMG i can not believe that happened in my area. It was unreal. They had huge lights brought in to keep the place well lit- i guess because of looters and such. State Police were at every entrance to Country Squire Estates. In the surrounding roads HUGE trees were uprooted or bent in a wave. Its something you would see out of the movies. I honestly felt like i was looking at a silouette of a Hollywood movie soundstage or something.

I think I’m going to volunteer tomorrow down at the site. I really feel led to do that…..night all

Hey there! I’m so glad you stopped by my blog!

I’m a wife to a realtor and a momma to 2 energetic boys, living in a bi-level home (some people call it a split level) and fixing it up to suit us. I love a good DIY and being creative. I am passionate about history and  visiting historical places like it’s my job- particularly Colonial time period. I love finding antiques/vintage and rustic items to add to my home decor, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fantasizing about trips to Scotland. Read more

On this blog I share a lot of those things and more, so comment, share, subscribe and come along for the ride!
