So I finally got my haircut by Jess at her fabulous salon in Hershey…where people pay out the butt for haircuts and colors and such but she gave me a good discount and even did my makeup for free- rock! The newly updated pic to your left is one of the 2 pics I took of it so far.

Well last night was nice…I really needed that evening. After work I went over to the church softball double header in Bainbridge. Jess came for the second game and we talked to my mom and Sandy. I sat in the dugout with my dad a few times to spend time with him. Well during the second game he elbowed some guy when he was on second base and got called out of the game- literally- the ump told him to go to his car! Oh I was livid- my dad off ALL people! My mom and the other wives wanted to know what happened so i went over and in a ‘loud enough so the ump could hear’ voice i said- ‘Oh dad elbowed some guy by accident and the ump is being a BABY about it.’ They laughed. TJ was shivering when i went back to the dugout like really shivering it scared me (he had been playing in the creek right behind the stands) so i went into mom and nurse mode and got a towel and started warming him up. He was starting to turn a little blue too, no joke. Maybe I should be a nurse- hmm haha.

Afterwards Jess, the boys and I were trying to figure out what we were going to do the rest of the night. First- Darin, Nate and I went to Wendy’s with my fam and Nate’s fam. Then Darin and I drove back following each other in case Jess called on an update cuz Darin doesnt have a cell! Well we went to Darin’s house and got a fire going and roasted hotdogs and marshmellows- what fun (see my pics on my webshots page). Jess Leah and I tried to chop a thick twig in half for the fire- it was a no go! We all talked and had a fun time goofing off. It was just a nice evening of fun that I REALLY needed…I guess things might not be so bad this summer after all….But we are definitely going to do the campfire thing again at Darin’s cuz its a perfect location.

Hey there! I’m so glad you stopped by my blog!

I’m a wife to a realtor and a momma to 2 energetic boys, living in a bi-level home (some people call it a split level) and fixing it up to suit us. I love a good DIY and being creative. I am passionate about history and  visiting historical places like it’s my job- particularly Colonial time period. I love finding antiques/vintage and rustic items to add to my home decor, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fantasizing about trips to Scotland. Read more

On this blog I share a lot of those things and more, so comment, share, subscribe and come along for the ride!
