MEET TARA

 

Hi, my name is Tara.

I’m a thirty-something girl married to a realtor and momma blessed with two boys. I love the South, but I’m stuck in the Northeast. North Carolina has my heart- especially the coast (Outer Banks is my happy place). I love coffee and wine, my wildest dream is to one day own a vineyard, a coffeehouse with a general store in it, or a professional organizing business. I love to laugh, it’s life giving to me. I’m a dreamer and a planner. I always have a movie or daydream rolling inside my head of my life and how it should go. However, it doesn’t always turn out that way- God has other plans. I yearn to visit Scotland and Ireland~ two 0f my ancestral homes.

I love to write, always have since 1st grade, when I was writing short stories about my family and our dogs. I would illustrate the cover with stick figures and lots of color. I would always draw my dad as ginormous because he was so tall to me. Here I am in my thirties, writing a blog! I love to share what we are doing as DIYers on this journey called life…I am the dreamer and my husband is the doer, he brings my wildest dreams to fruition. Sometimes it takes forever…because he has a background in construction, an engineering mind and a perfectionist when it comes to building something. When he builds it, he builds it to last, when I just want it built and don’t care about the details, ha!
