Our Honest Every Plate Review

Well, I was influenced. I have heard about these meal delivery services on Instagram for a few years now and I usually click through. They always seem over priced to me and I was afraid for all the money I spent I wouldn’t like it. The meals never seemed to suit my pallet and taste. I’m pretty picky. I don’t like cooked peppers or onions (raw or cooked). That’s just a few of my dislikes.

A friend offered a code for a FREE box of THREE meals and I took it. Well let me tell ya, I like it. It’s a great supplement to my weekly meals. Yes, you have to make it, so that does take time but, now I have some ideas up my sleeve.

Our experience and review

We ordered three meals with two servings each. I knew our boys being somewhat picky wouldn’t make it worth getting four servings. The cost was around $39 so less than $40. So that puts the price per serving right around $6.50. You can’t beat that! I was definitely worried that this all would not be enough for my husband AND I. You know, guys usually like a big helping. We had enough for him to have some seconds. However, this meant no leftovers.

So far we’ve received/purchased two shipments. You can skip a week or two, or three if you don’t like any of the selections. You can view all the selections for the whole month if that helps you plan your meals and shopping for the month. It has definitely given me new ways of making sauces and knew combinations. Sides seem to be my nemesis when it comes to making dinners. After you make the meals you then have recipe cards to keep and reference for the future. If I know I won’t get a chance to make the meals during the week (if our schedule changes for instance) I pop the meat in the freezer. The refrigerated ingredients usually keep.

I particularly wanted something like this to be able to help me through the rut I was in with dinners. And news flash: I HATE grocery shopping. It has definitely helped. I would totally recommend this meal kit order service. It is affordable and convenient. I’m curious to see if they have a different selection in the Fall and Winter months. We will definitely continue with Every Plate Meal Service.
