Quick Tip Tuesday

Just wanted to hop on here and show you a quick organization tip for your child’s dresser.

The boys have to share a dresser for now and the dresser we have is actually an entertainment center from Costco. So the top two drawers are rather shallow. However, they fit the skinny organizers that the Dollar Tree sells. They come in a pack of 3 for $1! Their drawers were a mess with socks all over the place despite my best tempts to keep them color coordinated. Plus now Kyle has underwear to add to the mix and two belts. The organizers gave them more space! I’m so happy now!

Here is the befores…

Sorry about the lighting but you get the point.

Here’s the afters…

I puttyed down the organizers so they didn’t slide around or move when we are shutting the drawers. I’m so glad their socks fit in those organizers!

Here’s another tip as well while I’m at it. The changing pad always moved around on top of the dresser so I bought shelf liner that is anti-skid, cut it to size and put it under the changing pad. Voila! No more moving, shifting and marking up the dresser top!

And there you have it my quick tip for your Tuesday!

Have a great week! Talk to you soon!

Hey there! I’m so glad you stopped by my blog!

I’m a wife to a realtor and a momma to 2 energetic boys, living in a bi-level home (some people call it a split level) and fixing it up to suit us. I love a good DIY and being creative. I am passionate about history and  visiting historical places like it’s my job- particularly Colonial time period. I love finding antiques/vintage and rustic items to add to my home decor, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fantasizing about trips to Scotland. Read more

On this blog I share a lot of those things and more, so comment, share, subscribe and come along for the ride!
